Overview
Our pioneer ancestors were very resourceful and able to dress for their journey spending very little money. Our experience should be much the same. There are many resources available to us to help find/make what we need for our trek. As you are preparing for the trek, keep these general suggestions in mind:
1. Bring a pair of shoes that you are already comfortable wearing. Breaking in new shoes on a trek will leave you with sore, blistered feet
2. Wear light colors.
3. Cotton and Linen are more breathable and comfortable. Try to stay away from man-made fibers such as polyester, Rayon, and fleece.
4. Make sure and bring all the items on the clothing list.
Have fun preparing your wardrobe for the trek. Trying to be as authentic as possible will help you have a true pioneer experience.
